Tree Babies
Slow down, breathe in the fresh air, and connect.
Whether you are currently expecting or navigating life with a toddler, our Tree Babies sessions offer a peaceful sanctuary in nature. Held on Friday mornings from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Carreglwyd Estate, these sessions combine simple nature crafts, gentle play, and a wonderful community of like minded parents.
We run these in 6-week blocks to help you and your little one settle into a lovely rhythm. Best of all? Thanks to the amazing team at Babi Actif, these sessions are completely FREE and open to everyone.

Tonneau Festival
Catch us at Tonnau Festival this summer! 🏕️✨
We’re bringing the forest school magic right into the festival woodlands. Come hang out with us for some seriously cool, hands-on workshops, we’ll be doing everything from charcoal drawing and woodland graffiti to making festival flags and nature crafts.

Stay and Play family sessions
Aimed at all ages—everyone is welcome!
Come and share in the wonder of nature as a family. Our Stay & Play sessions at the beautiful Carreglwyd Estate are all about letting kids be kids (and grown-ups feel like kids again!).
Get active climbing over logs and building giant dens, or head over to our creative corner to make a nature craft and learn some fun new vocabulary. Got a toddler? Take part in a wild scavenger hunt or get messy in our famous mud kitchen. Bringing a little one? We have lovely ‘Tree Babies’ activities and an outdoor library ready for you. Best of all, you can help yourself to a warm cup of tea and just sit back around the fire. There is truly something for everyone!

We are proud to work alongside the Education Authority and Cylch to welcome school groups to the beautiful Carreglwyd Estate during term time. We believe that nature is the ultimate classroom!
Rather than a “one size fits all” approach, we collaborate closely with teachers to plan sessions that perfectly align with your class’s current learning journey. Whether you are introducing a brand new topic or looking to consolidate prior learning across different curriculum areas, we design hands on, outdoor activities that make lessons stick and ignite children’s imaginations.

Dedicated Home Ed Sessions
Nurturing independence, connection, and wild creativity for ages 5–18.
We love our home ed sessions welcoming, home ed families into the woods! We offer a mix of child led exploration and hands on skill building, tailored beautifully for a wide range of ages from 5 all the way up to 18.
Whether you’re looking to join one of our 6-week blocks to form regular friendships and build skills, or you’d like us to host a custom session on request for your own established home ed group, we’re here to support your learning journey.

Weddings
Add an extra touch of magic to your special day at Carreglwyd Estate. While you and your guests enjoy the wedding breakfast and speeches, we provide immersive, nature filled sessions to keep the children blissfully entertained.
Flexible Packages: Available from 2 hours up to a full day. Pure Adventure as the kids get to safely explore the forest, play games, and connect with nature. Peace of Mind and relax and enjoy your reception knowing the little ones are having an adventure of their own.

Social Prescription
A gentle space to heal, connect, and breathe.
Sometimes, the best medicine isn’t found in a pharmacy. Social prescribing connects people with non clinical support to help improve their physical and mental health. If you or someone you care for is struggling, our nature based sessions offer a safe, grounding alternative or addition to prescribed medication.
We accept referrals on a case by case basis and recommend a 12 week journey with us. This gives participants the time and space needed to truly feel the step by step benefits of being outdoors. Above all, we believe in the simple, profound medicine of time in the woods, a warm cup of tea, and a good chat.

Forest bathing
Immerse your senses, quiet your mind, and restore your well-being.
Have you heard of Shinrin-yoku? It’s a Japanese therapy that translates to “Forest Bathing,” and it has incredible, clinically proven benefits for both mental and physical health. Taking part in a session is shown to lift your mood, reduce anxiety, and leave you feeling completely re energized.
Because everyone connects with nature differently, we run separate groups tailored just for adults and children. And if you’re a mum with a tiny tot, our wonderful Tree Babies sessions are specifically designed to give you and your little one a gentle, nurturing space in the woods.

Once upon a time, communities always gathered to mark life’s transitions. Somewhere along the way, that tradition got lost. Pausing to celebrate a new phase of life is a beautiful way to ground ourselves and connect deeply with nature.
We love hosting community wide celebrations for the changing seasons, like the Solstices and Equinoxes, where everyone is welcome.

Carreglwyd Estate
Carreglwyd is a beautiful and magical family run estate nestled in woodland enfolded by the local landscape. The estate is focused on a 17th century country house set in a landscaped garden, around an ornamental lake, with tall trees, outcrops of rock, and a large reed bed nature reserve attracting a diverse array of birds and other wildlife, as well as only being a short walk from the beach and rugged coastline, there are a variety of environments to explore.
It is on this site we offer school groups, summer holiday retreats for both children and adults, and sessions for child care when the estate offers bespoke weddings.
